The Makro Philippines team at the company's inaugural Townhall.

Makro Philippines marked a significant milestone as it held its inaugural company-wide Townhall — a momentous first for the organization and a clear signal of the kind of company it is building.

Spearheaded by Mr. Rey Lapan, Head of Corporate Services and Support, and Mr. Kang Sung Ho “Ryan”, Managing Director of Makro Philippines, the session brought together the entire CPAC team for a high-level strategic alignment, with a distinguished line-up of leaders sharing their vision for the company’s future.

Mr. Mark Robert Uy, Group Head of Corporate Strategy and Business Development and Director, opened the dialogue by grounding the team in the very reason Makro Philippines exists — a joint venture
between CP Axtra and Ayala Corporation, built as a direct response to the country’s need for accessible, affordable food and everyday commodities. It was a powerful reminder that behind every business goal is a genuine commitment to the Filipino consumer.

He shared where Makro Philippines stands within the wider Makro International group, the expectations that come with that position, and the significant opportunities it opens for the local organization and its people.
